How Requirements Management fits into the ADM cycle

Requirements management is done throughout the entire ADM. ADM is continuously driven by the RM process.

The nature of the RM process

Architecture is subject to change by its very nature. Requirements must be able to respond to change in conditions, some controllable, some not (i.e., market conditions)

Approach

Start with business scenario at high-level when doing architecture vision.

Do throughout the ADM and consider things like:

• functional
• non-function
• assumptions
• constraints
• etc.
